Decorating on a Budget Using Quince

Last August we moved to Naples, Florida with just a few suitcases of clothes and some boxes of essentials. We were appreciative to find an empty and new condo to live and we couldn’t wait to start decorating it so it could feel like home.

Once we arrived it felt a bit overwhelming. WHITE WALLS. EMPTY SPACE. NO FURNITURE. Where do we start? How do we budget to furnish this all the way we want it to look and feel? I knew it would be a slow process but I was so happy to find a place like Quince that would help us do it on a budget!!

When we first moved in we were so appreciative to get handed down two twin mattresses and some old bedding from my parents, which was a start to us being able to sleep at the condo…but we knew soon we needed some personal touches to make it actually feel like home, (and perhaps our own mattress for us!)

After a month of mattress shopping, we finally decided on a King mattress from Sleep on Latex which we could rave on and on about! Made of 100% Natural Latex Foam, 100% Organic Cotton and 100% Organic New Zealand Wool, the Pure Green Mattress marks a new standard in Latex Mattresses. The Sleep On Latex design team carefully crafted this natural latex mattress for comfort, beauty, durability, and ease of use!  The firm mattress is great for stomach sleepers and those who prefer sleeping on a very firm surface. It is very strong and supportive but has just enough give to help alleviate pressure points.

The next part was deciding on what comforter to buy. We settled on the luxe down goose comforter from Quince because we wanted something medium warmth as we know we’d be running the AC in Florida. For duvet cover, we were going between a lighter linen cover and this beautiful Desert Sunset color that we eventually landed on. I’m so glad we went with this color as it warmed up the room and really made it feel inviting even though we still had white walls.

I love the Vera Tufted Wool Rug so much that we purchased from Quince. It helped pull together our room and the quality is outstanding! The Vera rug is made out of and doesn’t shed and it has held up to our kids and dog so well! We got a few awesome new pillow covers and the indoor/outdoor braided pouf from Quince.

After we purchased the Vera Tufted Wool Rug & pouf we wanted to coordinate the pillows a little so we purchased two that coordinated well and we love the quality of them!

One of the most useful things we’ve found on Quince has actually been these set of three leather storage baskets! We use them for shoes at the entryway, for clothes storage, for toys storage and even a catch-all storage for our swim gear like lotion, goggles, sunglasses
