Learn to Work With the Universe

Did you know the Universe is all set up and ready to work WITH you on anything you'd like to create in your life?  

The only thing that's stopping it from working with you, is your resistance to it.  You have to find a way to ALLOW it to work for you.  

You “allowing it” is the missing part.  

What does that mean? What does allowing it mean? 

The only key to allowing is to find a way to “feel a little better."  A little better is enough to start experiencing the results of allowing. 

When you “feel a little better” you let go of the resistance that is blocking ease from your life and you open up an energetic space within yourself that allows the universe to do it's thing.  The work is to practice “allowing” more often than not. 

How do you know if you're allowing? You feel good. 

 And when you don't feel good, don't worry about it.  Instead, use your “off feelings” as a guide that this is a subject or area that is calling for me to refocus my attention in a more allowing way. 


I want to simplify the art of allowing for you. On any subject that you're not feeling “great” about you have some options.

  1. You can surrender the subject and let it go (For the most difficult subjects, we sometimes need to practice surrendering it to something bigger- it is usually not our work to mentally figure out the answer to the subjects that bother us)

  2. You can sense that the subject you are focused on doesn't feel good and change the subject all together to something that does feel better to focus on. This is distracting your mind from the topic at hand so that when you come back to it, it doesn’t feel as intense. This could be as simple as listening to a podcast as you drive, watching a movie, reading a book, or taking a walk with a friend but letting them do the talking (funny enough, this is often the advice during early labor for parents experiencing contractions---put on a funny/distracting movie and laugh a little).

  3. You can soothe the subject which means: Find NEW or ALTERNATIVE thoughts on whatever the subject is that feel better to think. For instance, if something you desire is just not coming to fruition right now, instead of focusing on it not coming into life right now and how bad that may feel, try to find ANY thought on the subject that feels better to think. I often rely on this thought in times I feel less than patient:  The timing of this is working itself out. 

  4. You can see the subject from SOURCE'S point of view. Source/God/Universe whatever you call it is always seeing things as working out. It holds the highest perspective of you and all of your desires and knows exactly how to get you there… If you can for a minute, put your perspective in that place of TRUSTING it is all working out while APPRECIATING THE NOW MOMENT, this is the most beautiful way to everything you want because you will begin to enjoy the journey along to all of your desires.

If none of these seem to work for you, the thing two things I recommend most is to settle your energy by doing some sort of intense movement for 25-30 minutes. This could include taking a brisk walk or dancing to your favorite play list, taking a run, or deep cleaning your house. The idea is to constantly move your body for about 25-30 minutes. Even if the thoughts are over taking you, keep moving.

After you find a way to release resistance in your thoughts a little bit, the next part is to find a way to enjoy your current reality more. So, take some time today to ask yourself:

 

  1. Spending time on ______ makes me feel good.

  2. Spending time with ________ is enjoyable

  3. Doing this_________ helps me feel better.

  4. This one thing, ____________, is something I'd like to not do anymore. How can I outsource it or say no to it? Is there an alternative to it? 

  5. My favorite foods are __________. I will allow myself to enjoy them this week. 

  6. If I were to create a feel-good perfect day, it would look like this________________. 

  7. These things in my life right now feel really good to me_____________________. I will consciously spend more time appreciating and reveling in these things a little more.

  8. I love starting my day with__________. I will try to do that more this week.

  9. I love ending my day with___________. I will allow myself to do that more this week

  10. This thing lights me up when I do it or talk about it_____________. I will spend more time incorporating this subject into my life in some way. 

(REMEMBER: NO JUDGMENT ON YOUR ANSWERS- WHATEVER FILLS IN THE SPACE IS FOR YOU!!! We are all different and have different preferences and desires. The more we allow ourselves to honor those things we enjoy, the better we feel.)

 The only “work” to allow is to DIFFUSE thoughts and things that don't feel good to focus on and instead,  INFUSE thoughts and things that feel good to think about, to do, and to imagine. 

 

So for the next 5 days, here is your work.  Consciously finding a way each day to feel a little better.  On any subject that causes you to feel resistance, you can: Surrender, Sense, Soothe, or See it from Source’s Perspective. While practicing that, you can also try to add things to your day that you enjoy that support you in feeling good,  (or even better, start to omit or soothe the things from your life you don't enjoy much).
